The African Magic Viewers’ choice awards took place on the 14th of May and everyone on the internet couldn’t stop talking about it.
From the performances to heartwarming speeches and all the looks we saw on that day.
It was a case of ‘so many looks, so little time.’
The looks went from extravagant to stunning to wait, what?
As the buzz dies down a little and the internet moves on to other things, we want to take this moment to share some of the unforgettable looks from that night.
The internet might have moved on but these looks would remain engraved in our minds forever and for the right reasons.
1. Osas Ighodaro
She wasn't crowned best dressed at the event for nothing.
The stunning gown with intricate details, nude top and a lovely train had us stopping for breath.
The low bun hairstyle and clean make up completed the look.
2. Erica Ngozi Nlewedim
She bodied this look and that's that.
The blue-green colored dress had lovely detachable sleeves(yes, the sleeves are detachable) and a long detachable train.
The textures of the gown caught our eyes, it goes from ruffled to nylon like that gives an illusion of the ocean.
Do you agree?
3. Adesua Etomi Wellington
Dress by Matopeda.
Adesua's caption on Instagram was "To thine own self, be true" and that explains it all.
The simple straight gown that goes from yellow like to copper colored felt divine. With side slit (we love a good side slit) and an off shoulder neckline.
Some thing else we find interesting about this look is the embroidery. So intricate and stunning.
4. Nancy Isime
Beads have never looked this good.
We love good craftsmanship on any look and that's what this gave.
We can imagine how many hours it took to put each bead in the right place. And to have this look in white brings out the details.
Don't forget that little bag too.
5. Nonye Udeogu
The fashion influencer that we stan.
The dress has a corset with a unique neckline and pleated bottom.
We also love the different textures of the fabrics and the accessories.
Those gloves were a nice touch.
6. Hawa Magaji
This dress gave everything it was supposed to give.
It's a nice balance between over-the-top and simple.
A straight short dress underneath layered with literal layers of fabric that also made into a train.
